Thank you for sharing your thoughts on choosing a platform. Recently, I got a newsletter that told be to be active on X, medium and two other platforms. They didn't mention Substack and I've asked myself how do I move from the platform I'm comfortable with creating to a place I rarely know?
I’m sure every platform has its advantages, but it’s impossible to grow on all of them at once. It will burn you out, even if you have systems for repurposing your content.
My belief is that you have to genuinely enjoy the platform you’re using. Otherwise, there’s a good chance you’ll leave after six months, and then it circles back to that feeling of, “I failed.” Those experiences tend to pile up in our minds.
The other thing is that you have to learn how each platform works, and mastering any of them takes a lot of time.
Use the one you enjoy (and where you find your people). 🙂
